Indoor composting with red worms By Sophia Martin

Composting is when you feed red worms your old food scraps. When the worm is done proccessing the food, it comes out as a nutrient -rich soil. The soil is then really good for your garden because of all the nutrients.

You feed the worms fruits, vegetables, egg shells, coffee grounds and filters, tea bags and rice/pasta. You don't feed them meat, poultry, potato/garlic peels or dairy.

You should keep the container in a dark place (under the sink, in a cupboard or under a blanket or towel). The container should be in a place that is about 55-77 degrees farenheight.

I would compost at home because it helps get rid of your garbage and feeds animals at the same time. When the compost is finished, it is a nutrient-rich soil for your garden and helps your plants grow.

Along with taking care of the worms, you have to harvest the compost when it is ready. Harvesting the compost is basically seperating the compost form the rest of the stuff. Then you can use it in your garden.
